A showing of the Abbie White Collection is a unique experience, that begins with a museum-quality exhibition of over 200 vintage evening bags spanning a century of fashion, form and style. The experience is elevated through music, lighting, carefully curated décor and engaged interaction. As you peruse the collection, touching and feeling the materials and craftsmanship of the bags, you find yourself stopping to look and feel more closely the ones like those you once held dear. It's then that you realize, purses carry more than our everyday essentials. They carry our memories. They carry a reminder of our unique and evolving sense of style. They carry moments that sparkle as brightly as the bags. As memories come rushing in, stories begin flowing out. The room fills with laughter, joy, happy tears... sharing, remembering, connecting and celebrating moments marking a lifetime. As you stroll through the room, you're stepping back in time, through tiny time capsules, in the form of purses.
The first showing of The Collection took place at the Covenant Place, a thriving community for active seniors and where Abbie White called home. Hosted by Abbie and daughter Anna, the showing was such a success, a promise was made to host a additional showings in the future.
Today, in Abbie's memory, that promise is fulfilled with events across the St. Louis area. Locations and venues vary - from active senior living communities, to themed events and special occasions. Support resources and room requirements must be confirmed in advance, in order to ensure a wonderful experience is enjoyed by all. Showings of the Abbie White Collection have received rave reviews for their uniqueness and “Wow!” factor, along with the love and care evident in the presentation and overall experience.
